Postoperative fatigue syndrome after gallbladder stone surgery is a group of syndromes in which patients exhibit extreme fatigue, inability to concentrate, and lack of initiative in behavior and thinking after surgery. Almost all patients with major surgery have postoperative fatigue syndrome, while patients with minor surgery mostly do not show postoperative fatigue syndrome. Therefore, the following issues should be paid attention to in terms of health and living: (1) Correct malnutrition: Encourage patients to eat and increase nutrition. For patients who have malnutrition before surgery, they should be given intraoperative nutritional support, including intra- and extra-gastrointestinal nutrition. Doing the corresponding care can effectively reduce the occurrence of postoperative fatigue syndrome. (2) Appropriate exercise and sports: Patients should be assisted to carry out appropriate exercise and sports after surgery, in a measured and gradual manner, avoiding excessive haste and fierce, in order to achieve the purpose of enhancing cardiopulmonary function and reducing the occurrence of postoperative fatigue syndrome. (3) Postoperative symptomatic treatment: pain is the most common postoperative side effect. Reducing pain can decrease the metabolic response of the body and reduce energy consumption. The postoperative fatigue syndrome can be avoided by increasing sleep or giving appropriate painkillers or distracting the patient’s attention and removing stimuli, and finding ways to reduce pain perception. (4) Pay attention to psychological adjustment: tension and anxiety, poor sleep at night and depression can increase the stress response of the body, so we must pay attention to psychological adjustment. Family members should be considerate and caring, listen to patients in a timely manner, understand their wishes, and give strong help to make patients feel close and safe, and maintain a calm psychological state to live through the recovery period.
