Eat a lot of raw fish kill susceptible to liver fluke

The liver fluke is parasitic in the bile ducts of humans and mammals. The eggs enter the digestive tract with bile and are excreted in the feces. After being swallowed by freshwater snails in water, the larvae hatch in the digestive tract of the snail and undergo three stages: cyathostomes, larvae and caecal larvae. The mature caecal larvae escape from the snail body, and when they encounter freshwater fish, they invade the muscle and other tissues of the fish to develop into cysts. If people or animals eat fish or shrimp containing cysts, the cysts will decapsulate in the duodenum and enter the hepatobiliary duct via the common bile duct, or enter the hepatobiliary duct via the blood vessels or through the intestinal wall via the abdominal cavity, and usually develop into adult worms about 1 month after infection. A survey in 1988 showed that the infection rate of mackerel in the Jiamusi region of Heilongjiang was also 100%, and killing fish is one of the favorite dishes of the people in the region, so the Jiamusi region is also a high incidence of liver fluke. The danger of liver fluke for human body is relatively great. In mild infection, no clinical symptoms or no obvious clinical symptoms appear; in severe infection, the main manifestations in the acute stage are allergic reaction and digestive discomfort, including fever, stomach pain, abdominal distension, loss of appetite, weakness of limbs, pain in the liver area, and a significant increase in eosinophils in blood tests, but most patients do not have very obvious symptoms in the acute stage. Most of the cases seen clinically are in the chronic stage, and the symptoms of patients often appear gradually after several years. Generally, the symptoms of the digestive system are mainly fatigue, epigastric discomfort, loss of appetite, aversion to greasy food, indigestion, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vague pain in the liver area, and dizziness are more common. Severe infections are accompanied by dizziness, emaciation, swelling and anemia, and can cause cirrhosis, ascites and even death in the late stage. Since there are no obvious symptoms in the early stages of liver fluke infection, it is basically impossible to know that the infection is present. The liver fluke parasites multiply in the bile ducts of human liver, causing bile blockage, bile duct inflammation, liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. This is a typical “disease from the mouth”, but most people are not aware of its risks. Some people think that eating raw fish and shrimps will be fine if they soak them in white wine or vinegar for a while. In fact, wine or vinegar cannot kill the cysts. In the past, some people thought that liver fluke was a minor disease, so they could just take some medicine at home, which is also wrong. In recent years, there have been some cases of heart arrhythmia, liver failure, septic cholangitis, sepsis and even death due to improper deworming treatment, so the treatment should be standardized under the guidance of a doctor, and hospitalization is required if necessary.
