Principles of menstrual headache

  Yesterday we talked about cluster headache, so today we will talk about menstrual headache, because for most women, menstrual pain can be the end of the world, and when menstrual pain meets migraine, the pain index will be doubled. Moreover, some data show that the percentage of headaches in women is 4-8 times higher than that in men, and they often occur around the time of menstruation. So what are the causes of menstrual headaches?  The term “menstrual headache” refers to headaches that occur around the time of menstruation. These headaches are mostly primary and it is difficult to find the cause. However, according to clinical experience and research, this type of headache may be related to the significant fluctuation of serum estrogen level during menstruation, when the serum estrogen level fluctuates significantly, certain pain-causing substances will be produced and cause migraine attacks, and mental tension, anxiety and insomnia may also cause migraine.  Symptoms of menstrual headache: 1. nausea and vomiting 2. fear of noise 3. fear of bright light 4. before and after the headache attack, some people will have transient visual disturbance, which will disappear when the headache stops.  5. Headache when going up and down stairs or doing exercise, like someone banging a rope in the head.
