In this study, the clinical observation on the quality of life of patients with kidney deficiency and liver depression in the subhealth state treated with zhi kidney and liver dredging cream was conducted to explore an economic, effective and easy-to-use treatment formula for patients with kidney deficiency and liver depression in the subhealth state, and to effectively reduce the medical costs of patients. The patients’ medical costs and the superiority of traditional Chinese medicine concept in treating untreated diseases were verified. Methods:Thirty cases were randomly selected from our outpatient clinic, using their own before-and-after control, and the observation period was two months, the first month without any medication, the second month was given Zhi Kidney Liver Diversion Cream orally, 30g each time, twice a day, in the morning and evening before fasting, 30 days as a course of treatment. The main ingredients of Zhi Kidney Liver Cream are Liu Wei Di Huang Wan and Yi Yao San, (Yam, Dan Pi, Poria, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Mast, Atractylodes Macrocephala, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Fructus Lycii, Huang Jing, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix et Rhizoma Chai Hu, Radix et Rhizoma Chuan Shao, Radix et Rhizoma Mucronatae, Radix et Rhizoma Kung Lao, Radix et Rhizoma Shou Wu, Radix et Rhizoma Sandy, Fructus Wheat, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhiza Uralensis, Salviae Miltiorrhizae. (Adjuncts:turtle shell gum, turtle board gum, aconite, zihejiang, cinnamon, red dates, walnuts) The indexes were tested in the first and second month, respectively, and the quality of survival was observed by using the universal quality of survival scale (SF I 36) to score each investigator’s four domains of quality of survival in each of the two time periods, with higher scores indicating better quality of survival. Results:There was a significant difference in the scores of 30 patients’ quality of life scores after 1 month without medication compared with 1 month after medication in terms of muscle pain, general health, vitality, social function, emotional role, mental health and overall quality of survival (p<0.05, p<0.01), and in terms of scores, the scores were higher after medication than without medication (p<0.05). And the points in several domains such as somatic function, somatic role, muscular pain, social function, mental health and overall quality of survival were higher after medication than before medication (p<0.05). Conclusion:Zhi kidney and liver dredging cream can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and improve the survival quality of patients with kidney deficiency and liver depression evidence of subhealth state, and it is a simple and effective method for treating kidney deficiency and liver depression evidence of subhealth state with no toxic side effects, which reflects the superiority of Chinese medicine in treating untreated diseases and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
