In the past, the surgery for bone tuberculosis patients was simple lesion removal surgery, although the preoperative and postoperative treatments were in accordance with the principles, but the recurrence rate was still very high, and the treatment of bone tuberculosis with the help of irrigation and suction method of treating osteomyelitis has achieved good results. The method of irrigation and suction is suitable for spinal tuberculosis, osteoarticular tuberculosis, chest wall tuberculosis and other kinds of extrapulmonary tuberculosis. Methods: When the lesion is cleared, at least 2 drainage tubes are placed in the lesion. One is a flushing tube and one is a drainage tube. The flushing tubes are filled with 500 saline plus an anti-tuberculosis drug (streptomycin or butamocaine), which not only flushes but also administers topical medication. The flushing time depends on the drainage. When the color of the drainage fluid is clear and there is no abnormality, the flushing tube is closed for 2 days to observe the drainage fluid from the drainage tube, and if it is normal, the flushing tube can be removed. Then observe the drainage fluid for another 2 days, and if it is normal, you can pull out the drainage tube. The effect is very ideal, greatly reducing the chance of recurrence of tuberculosis.
