The survival time after radiotherapy for esophageal cancer is related to the stage of esophageal cancer. If no treatment is given, patients with esophageal cancer can survive for 8-10 months. The five-year survival rate for patients with early-stage esophageal cancer is generally 40%-50% after radiotherapy. If patients with esophageal cancer are already in advanced stage and undergo radiotherapy, their five-year survival rate is generally less than 10%. The earlier the esophageal cancer is treated, the better the effect and the longer the survival time. Therefore, patients should have early diagnosis and treatment in time to prolong the survival period after radiotherapy.
