Why is it difficult for psychotherapy to work in bulk?

More and more patients have given me more trust, which is my pride as a psychiatrist, but at the same time has added new pressure to me. Many patients ask for extra numbers in the clinic, psychologically really can’t bear to refuse, because I am also a patient of a certain disease, but also in major hospitals as a patient, also so to pray for extra numbers, but also complained about their peers are very disrespectful, the same mentality and everyone. So on the number increase, can after I face the problem of nurses to work longer hours waiting, security can not be closed on schedule, my family and children to understand me again can not tolerate my neglect of them, there is their own body has been frequent problems recently. I have to say I have been overloaded too much. When some of my patients could not be satisfied and scolded me, my mood was so depressed. Yesterday’s clinic ended at 8:00 pm, and I swore to myself that I would never add a number again, but I knew it was just a blank check, unless I did not become a doctor. In fact, all this stems from the special nature of psychological work, which cannot be done simultaneously and in bulk. Psychotherapy is always a 1-to-1 job, which is why I can’t give help to people in bulk even if I’m desperate. Every person is unique, every therapy must be heart to heart, and every therapy is different, so psychological work is very time and labor intensive. Outside counseling fees are super high, easily 500-1000 yuan, while in the hospital only 30-60, so many doctors do not want to do, because there is no benefit in terms of. I try my best to spend more time, solve one more problem, and help one more person, so please understand what we do. I also try to do my work from all angles: including online consultations, including telephone consultations, including special meetings where you can meet if you wish. I will try, and I need your help, understanding and support. At present, the number of professional psychologists in specialized and general hospitals is not large, but they are facing a gradually increasing number of people in need of clinical psychological treatment, and the special nature of psychological work requires a high level of time and energy and psychological quality that is unimaginable. Psychologists in general hospitals are faced with comparisons and competition with other departments and specialties, because of the special nature of the profession. Each client is a unique individual, and each case is a place where the therapist devotes all his or her energy in that particular treatment time. I hope that more people will pay attention to the psychological profession and understand the pressure and the patience and hardship that psychologists face at this particular time of psychological development. It has been said that counseling is about to become a sunny profession, and I hope the sunshine will shine on the heart of every psychological worker who is interested in a lifelong struggle for the psychological cause!
