Shallow coma refers to the loss of consciousness and mental activity, but the patient can show expression or motor response to strong painful stimuli (such as pressure on the supraspinal nerve) and cannot be awakened; the pupil reflex to light is normal and deep and superficial reflexes exist. In coma, the patient’s waking state is lost. The clinical manifestation is that the patient’s wake-sleep cycle disappears and the patient is in a continuous “deep sleep” and cannot be awakened. The patient loses perception, attention, thinking, emotion, orientation, judgment, memory and many other mental activities. The patient is unable to perform simple commands. Diet: 1. High protein and nutritious food; 2. Vitamin and mineral rich food; 3. High calorie and easy to digest food.
