Can hunching over cause sternal pain?

Hunchback rarely causes sternal pain, but in most cases it is more common to have back pain.
Hunchback is generally defined as a degree of thoracic lordosis that exceeds physiologic lordosis, with more causative factors, such as abnormal spinal development, rickets, ankylosing spondylitis, trauma, and other factors. Hunchback will cause a certain degree of forward flexion of the chest due to thoracic vertebral kyphosis deformity, therefore, it will lead to changes in the shape of the thoracic contour and the position of the chest ribs abnormally, appearing sternal pain, and even affecting the cardiorespiratory function and so on.
Hunchback will first cause early discomfort due to changes in the position of the thoracic spine structure, and long-term structural abnormalities will damage the surrounding ligaments, nerves, and other tissues, resulting in thoracic back pain. The pain and other discomforts usually become more pronounced as the degree of hunchback worsens.
Sternum pain caused by hunchback, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital in time, do not delay treatment.
