What should I do if my gallbladder stones are complicated by common bile duct stones?

Gallbladder stones complicating common bile duct stones must be surgically resolved from a medical point of view. There are several surgical solutions: 1. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy with common bile duct stone extraction. This is a one-time solution for gallbladder stones and common bile duct stones. Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive procedure with rapid recovery and minimal scarring. There is no need to place a T-tube in the common bile duct either. This is the most ideal method at present. 2. Open cholecystectomy with common bile duct stone extraction. It is also a one-time solution for gallbladder stones and common bile duct stones, but this traditional open surgery is more traumatic, slower recovery and larger scars compared to laparoscopic surgery. The T-tube is usually placed in the common bile duct, which needs to be carried for more than 1 month and is not very convenient to live with. 3, first endoscopic for common bile duct stone extraction, then cholecystectomy, gallbladder removal has two methods: open cholecystectomy and laparoscopic cholecystectomy, generally choose laparoscopic cholecystectomy. This option actually requires two surgeries. Now that endoscopic choledocholith extraction has been performed, do gallbladder stones require surgery? The answer is yes, there is no doubt that gallbladder surgery should be performed because if gallbladder stones are not treated, they will also reoccur secondary to common bile duct stones, which can have complications such as jaundice, liver function impairment, biliary pancreatitis, and cholangitis. Especially in women who are married and ready to get pregnant, if they have gallbladder stones, they should have their gallbladder removed six months before pregnancy, otherwise, gallbladder infection attacks during pregnancy will bring great risk to the pregnant child, and many drugs cannot be used during pregnancy, which makes the treatment of gallbladder infection very difficult.
