Where is low back fasciitis located

Low back fasciitis is mostly a chronic painful disease due to an inflammatory reaction of the fibrous connective tissue of the low back. Pain can occur at the outer edge of the sacrospinous muscle, between the iliac crest and the 12th rib, or at the lower edge of the 12th rib and at the sacroiliac joint, and can radiate to the lower abdominal wall and anterior femoral region. Damage to fibrous connective tissue such as muscle and fascia forms nodules or small scars that constitute trigger points for pain, and a few degenerative spinal lesions or minor disc herniations can also cause pain in the low back. Fibrous connective tissue, adipose tissue injury and degenerative spinal lesions can cause localized pain in superficial areas or deep pain that radiates to the lateral hip, posterior femur and lateral calf.
