Symptoms and treatment of fasciitis

Fasciitis can occur in various parts of the body, such as the neck, shoulders, back, lower back and the bottom of the foot. It mainly causes various discomforts in the myofascia, such as pain, muscle tension or weakness, muscle spasms, skin numbness and movement disorders. When the patient touches the painful area, it is possible to palpate a hard lump or striated nodule, which can cause increased pain when touched or pressed. Treatment of fasciitis is often conservative, and surgery may be considered if treatment is not effective. Conservative treatment involves the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs such as celecoxib capsules or diclofenac sodium extended-release tablets to relieve pain. Stretching exercises and physiotherapy such as heat therapy, infrared therapy, microwave therapy and extracorporeal ultrasound are also effective in treating the area where fasciitis occurs.
