How can I save waiting time for medical appointments?

In view of the increasing number of patients, many patients feel that the consultation time is short and hope that the doctor can answer all their questions. Therefore, we recommend the following: 1. Be sure to bring all the information from your previous visits, especially recent test reports, pathology reports, previous outpatient records from Western Hospital and other hospitals, discharge summaries and so on. Recent reports are especially important. 2. Try to make an appointment. If you do not get an appointment number, you will need to add a number on the spot; however, the number for adding a number starts from the 51st number. So, either please arrive before eight o’clock so that you can see the patient first if the appointment has not yet arrived; however, the appointment still has priority. Or, you can come in after 10:30. This will reduce the waiting time. However, it is highly recommended to try to make an appointment through the appointment channel mentioned in the previous article I posted. 3. Since I basically have about 50-60 patients/half day, the average visit time for each patient is only four to five minutes. So if you have a lot of questions that need to be answered, please try to choose one of the following two ways: (1) book a phone consultation through this website before the visit (duration of twenty minutes), which can solve most of the problems that do not require on-site consultation, including life conditioning and dietary considerations, etc.; especially if the family wants to hide the condition from the patient. It is recommended that out-of-town patients prefer this method, if they can get an answer on the phone it will reduce the need to travel back and forth (2) I will open a special needs clinic in June. Each patient will have about 15 minutes of consultation time and will be able to answer all the questions that patients and their families need to know. For first-time patients who have a lot of questions, it is recommended that they see a special needs clinic first. Patients with unstable conditions and long visits are also recommended to see a special needs clinic so that they can have sufficient time to discuss their condition with the doctor when it is complicated. The time reserved for each patient in the special needs clinic is longer, so the quality of the visit can be fully guaranteed. 4. I have a new specialist clinic on the 8th floor of Minhang District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine on Wednesday mornings. Advantages: (1) medical insurance patients in the hospital can still enjoy the same Shanghai major medical insurance treatment as tertiary hospitals; (2) no need to make an appointment; (3) the number of patients in the new clinic is still small, so you can have sufficient time to see the doctor.
