At present, the international diagnostic criteria for children’s lead poisoning have not been fully unified, and the mainstream in our country is that lead poisoning can be diagnosed when two consecutive venous blood lead ≥200mg/L. The diagnostic criteria and grading of children’s lead poisoning are as follows.
The diagnostic criteria and grading of children’s lead poisoning are as follows: 100mg/L≤blood lead<200mg/L for high lead anemia, 200mg/L≤blood lead<250mg/L for mild lead poisoning, 250≤blood lead<450mg/L for moderate lead poisoning, and ≥450mg/L for moderate lead poisoning. Blood lead ≥450mg/L is regarded as severe lead poisoning.
Lead is a toxic heavy metal that can cause irreversible damage to a child’s central nervous system. If your child shows signs of lead poisoning, such as memory loss, hyperactivity, constipation, abdominal pain, metallic taste in the mouth, etc., you should consult a doctor in time, complete the blood lead test to make a clear diagnosis, and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment if necessary.
