Patients with esophageal cancer who experience persistent vomiting, which leads to loss of digestive juices, ionic disturbances and acid-base imbalance, have significant differences in survival time for each patient. For patients with advanced esophageal cancer, the survival time varies from three months to six months. For simple tumor development with esophageal obstruction, strict enteral nutrition support treatment through interventional esophageal stent implantation and selective duodenal nutrition tube placement can extend the survival time of some patients by six months to one year. If the condition allows, local radiation therapy with systemic intravenous chemotherapy can also be chosen, which can control the rate of malignant tumor development to a certain extent and achieve the purpose of prolonging life. Intravenous nutritional support therapy can also be chosen in the later stage, mainly to improve the quality of life of patients with advanced disease.
