Years of low back pain turned out to be myofasciitis

Liu, 36 years old, a manual laborer, has had back pain for more than ten years. Ten years ago, after resting on the concrete floor overnight after exertion, he developed back pain on one side, feeling soreness and pain in the muscles of his back and stiffness, the heaviest in the morning before getting up, unable to stay in bed and needing to get up and move to relieve it. Later, the pain developed to a soreness and swelling on both sides of the back, and when working, there was soreness and pain, and the longer the working time, the heavier the pain, which could be slightly relieved after resting, and even when not working, the back always felt sore and stiff, and when twisting the lower back, there was a feeling of muscle pulling, and it could not be rotated into place. The pain increases when the back is bent or weighted for a long time, and the pain can wake up at night when sleeping. When you go to the hospital, the doctor diagnosed “myofascial pain syndrome”, the doctor explained that this disease, also known as myofasciitis, is a sterile inflammation between the muscle and fascia. Mostly in young adults, due to sudden twisting of the low back under weight, the occurrence of pulling stress and injury, or long-term habitual bad posture and prolonged low back muscle load work leads to chronic injury. In addition, cold and vascular inflammation can lead to inflammation of the myofascia. Physical examination reveals that both sides of the spine and the scapular surface are all pressure points. However, if the disease is not treated in time or the early treatment is not effective, and the disease develops to the middle and late stage, and there is a large area of pain, it is necessary to perform percutaneous skeletal muscle attachment point release, that is, a special silver needle is pricked to the attachment point of the bone and muscle fascia, that is, the site of pain, and a special machine is applied to make the needle tip heated to eliminate the pain of the bone and muscle fascia attachment point. The needle tip is heated by a special machine to eliminate the sterile inflammation at the point of attachment of the bone and myofascia for the purpose of treatment. After the doctor’s thoracic paraspinal scapular muscle attachment point release, Xiao Liu’s back pain recovered and the pain at work never appeared again, but the doctor still advised him to pay attention to rest and not to overexert himself, especially not to get cold. Myofascial pain syndrome can be cured as long as one pays attention to the combination of work and rest and does not suffer from excessive cold.
