Is chemotherapy for mucinous liposarcoma effective?

Chemotherapy for mucinous liposarcoma is not significantly effective. There is no evidence that mucinous liposarcoma is highly sensitive to chemotherapy; some chemotherapeutic agents can reduce the recurrence rate of localized mucinous liposarcoma, but it does not improve the overall survival time; the preferred method of treating mucinous liposarcoma is surgical treatment, but it is not easy to cure for having distant metastasis and local infiltration. Other methods for treating mucinous liposarcoma include radiotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, etc., and effective treatments should be chosen according to the condition. Patients with mucinous liposarcoma should follow the standardized chemotherapy under the guidance of physician’s face-to-face consultation, and patients should not blindly use drugs to avoid adverse results.
