“Shoulder fasciitis is an aseptic inflammation that occurs in the myofascia of the shoulder. Patients may experience pain, soreness, weakness, stiffness or a feeling of heavy pressure in the shoulder muscles. The symptoms worsen after overexertion or cold, and the pain may be relieved after treatment to increase blood flow to the muscle is given. In acute attacks, the shoulder muscles are tense, spasmodic and movement is limited, which seriously affects the patient’s quality of life. Treatment of shoulder fasciitis can be given with conservative treatment methods such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, massage and physical therapy. For patients with recurrent symptoms and ineffective conservative treatment, surgery is feasible to cure.”
