Palmoplantar pustulosis is a type of psoriasis, which belongs to the category of “leukoderma lucidum” in Chinese medicine. Chinese herbal prescriptions for treating palmoplantar pustulosis, such as Rhinoceros Jiao Dihuang Tang and Angelica Drinking Zi, etc., are required to identify the symptoms of psoriasis in patients.
1. Blood deficiency and wind dryness syndrome: patients with a long course of disease, the rash is mostly patchy, light red in color, with reduced scales, itching, accompanied by dryness of the mouth and throat, etc. The treatment is to nourish the blood and nourish yin, moistening the yin. Commonly used Angelica sinensis, white peony, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Tribulus Terrestris, Radix Polygoni Multiflori, Radix Polygoni Multiflori, Radix Polygoni Multiflori, Radix Polygoni Multiflori, Radix Polygoni Astragali, Radix Glycyrrhizae.
3. Qi and blood stasis syndrome: the patient’s skin lesions are recurrent, and the rash is mostly plaque-like with thick scales and dark red color; the tongue has petechiae and ecchymosis. Treatment is based on activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis, detoxifying and clearing the channels. Taohong Siwu Tang can be used. Angelica sinensis, red peony, Radix et Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, peach kernel, safflower, etc. are commonly used.
