Generally, palmoplantar pustulosis does not cause sternal pain, and sternal pain may be caused by leukemia, gastric diseases, trauma and other reasons. 1. Leukemia: due to the proliferation of leukemia cells in the bone marrow cavity, causing the bone marrow cavity volume pressure increase, as well as leukemia cells infiltrate the periosteum to stimulate the sensory nerve and cause sternal pain. 2. Gastric diseases: such as reflux esophagitis, non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease and other gastric diseases, usually accompanied by heartburn, acid reflux, epigastric distension and other symptoms. When there is serious damage to the stomach lining, patients may also mistake the phenomenon for sternal pain. 3. Trauma: Sternal pain may occur when violence acts directly on the sternum, fracturing it. When blunt violence acts near the sternum, although it does not cause an open wound of the skin or a fracture of the sternum, it can cause damage to subcutaneous tissues, muscles, and small blood vessels, which can also cause pain in the sternal area. Palmoplantar pustulosis generally does not cause sternal pain, it is recommended that patients with sternal pain go to the hospital for timely consultation and examination to avoid delaying the condition.
