Causes of semen indigestion

There are many causes of male infertility, and semen indigestion is one of the common causes of male infertility. Patients usually have normal sexual function and ejaculation ability, and often seek medical attention because they have been infertile for a long time after marriage. Due to the high viscosity of semen, ejaculatory effort and painful ejaculation sometimes occur, and some also have dripping white or hemorrhagic semen. Isolated semen that does not liquefy in 60 minutes at room temperature of 25℃ or still contains non-liquefied clots can be called semen non-liquefaction disease. Normal semen is liquefied at the time of ejaculation, then immediately forms a jelly or clot, and then resumes liquefaction after 5-20 minutes. The secretions from the prostate and seminal vesicles are involved in the process of coagulation and liquefaction of semen. The coagulation factors produced by the seminal vesicles cause the semen to coagulate, while the prostate produces proteolytic enzymes, lysozyme and other semen liquefaction factors that cause the semen to liquefy. Once inflammation occurs in the seminal vesicles or prostate, the secretion of the above factors may be impaired, resulting in an increase in coagulation factors or a decrease in liquefaction factors, resulting in semen non-liquefaction. This abnormal delay in the liquefaction process causes the sperm to coagulate or brake, and its movement in the female reproductive tract is significantly impeded, preventing it from moving up into the cervical canal, uterine cavity and fallopian tubes and meeting the egg.
